Tekko were once used to protect the hands or wrists from damage while working outdoors or travelling.
Sometimes used by Ninjutsu practitioners when training outdoors
Ours are black with velco to fasten them together (not with hooks as shown in the photo) - cream on the inside with re-enforced stitching.
