Kaginawa
Nawa (ropes) were used by Samurai and Edo period police to restrain their opponent because handcuffs had yet to be invented.
This kagi is made from steel approx 8 - 9cm in length. There are 2 metal rings where the rope passes through.
The rope was sometimes fitted with various attachments to aid the restraint. The rope comes complete with the hook in place and ready to use.

The ropes are made from a natural fiber, the white is a natural colour while the other 4 are dyed.
