The Kobo is sometimes refered to as a Eda Koppo. It is a Kakushi Buki (hidden weapon). Used by many Jujutsu schools as a weapon in its own right with its own kata or as an aid to supplement techniques. Works great when used with Omote Gyaku and Ura Gyaku.

This Kobo is made from square steel with leather to slip over the fingers.
Very effective when the Kobo is placed on the bone and pressure is added (such as in Te Hodoki).
