Yamamoto Kansuke (山本 勘助, 1501 – October 18, 1561), was a strategist of the Takeda Samurai Clan and one of the famous 24 Takeda generals. The Heiho Okugisho (Hyoho Hidensho) was originally a collection of writings by him and were eventually compiled into this one volume manual in 1804
